Watching Sunday morning TV with my two (is it called Smile? They have a knited bear and a new presenter who is very decorative but completely useless and keeps flicking her hair back in an irritating manner - "get a hair clip woman!") anyway, I digress.

They just had a phone-in competition and a girl won an Mp3 player. Did she express delight? Did she seem grateful? Did the words "thank you" utter from her lips?

No.

"How many gigabytes has it got?" was what she said.

Kids today! Sooooo rude! I'm turning into Victor Meldrew aren't I?

I know knitted has two t's. My typing goes skewiff when I'm outraged!

Shame they couldn't have said she can't have it after all and given her the knitted bear instead, that would have brightened her day up!

Kids have to be taught to say please and thankyou, I think my kids have got the hang of it now!

SorenLorensen · 05/02/2006 09:05

The knitted bear is their most talented presenter so they'd better hang on to it

good point!
My kids prefer watching Jackie Chan so I don't have to watch Smile.

stick boomerang on .. scooby doo interminably

SorenLorensen · 05/02/2006 09:40

We don't have Boomerang. We downgraded to NTL's most basic package in a "we don't really watch it that much" money saving exercise. When we go to Grandma and Grandad's though the kids watch back-to-back Scooby and love it Apart from the ones with Scrappy, obviously.

I remember finding Scooby Doo genuinely spooky - my kids are not fazed by it at all.

It's funny watching it on Boomerang and guessing the era - some of the episodes are older than me.
