I was really impressed with UA... the portfolios of work they had out aswell were fantastic I will just need to wait and see if they offer DS a place x

lanismum · 05/02/2006 11:57

i loved urban angels, thought everyone was really nice, and the shoot was really well organised, no long waits for the kids, loads of toys for them to play with ect. i just got the impression from jenny that my dd wouldnt be taken on, she said we wont offer contracts to those who we think we cant get work for, and i wasnt asked any other questions, i dunno, maybe its me being pessimistic?

mykidsmum · 05/02/2006 12:03

Its a difficult one to call really lanismum, we have been to castings where I got a similar vibe and then they go and get the job, so you really won't know until they contact you. You kind of have to be fatalistic about it all, if its not meant to be then its not. One thing I have gotten used to over the last couple of years is not to get excited, you can often be let down, the trick is not to have expectations, and then you can't be disappointed

Hello,

Do you mind if I join in? I have bee watching the thread for ages but have never posted

I registered my ds with bizzykids when he was 8 weeks old but never got round to sending the forms back as dh's sister got run over and we had to travel backwards and forwards to Birmingham, so we would't have had time to do anything! But I am all settled again now and am going to send my doctors letter off this week

I have also just sent photos off to Bruce & Brown - is that okay to be with 2 agencies? And am still waiting to hear from BM.

lanismum · 05/02/2006 12:06

yeah i think that might be why im so sure she isnt going to be taken on, so that if she does it will be a nice surprise. nothing really happened to make me think this, no screaming when someone else spoke to her, she wasnt clingy, they got some very cute photos, just a feeling. ill be jumping for my mobile every time it rings from tomorrow

lanismum · 05/02/2006 12:09

hello mummy2toby, welcome to the thread, i think you have to check with each agency to see if they mind you being with other agencys, some do require sole representation. i think bizzykidz dont mind you being with others though.

mykidsmum · 05/02/2006 12:10

can deffo relate to jumping when the phone rings!

Lanismum, dont worry,i had the impression they were not that interested in mine,in fact i didnt hear for almost a wk and ended up emailing to find out, allysia said sorry for delay and sent contracts to us.
Mumtotoby,Bruce&brown are sole agency,if you are with Bizzy kids apply to MOT and Elliott Brown as they are ok with a multi agency agreement

mykidsmum >>> i totally agree with you about not getting too excited!! Even if they do get chosen for a shoot their is no guarentee that their photo will get chosen!!! We approach this industry with the view that 'any' work is a bonus!!!!

totallyfloaty35 · 05/02/2006 12:35

Izzy- going to see MOT on valentines day,EB on 20th feb.

Mummy2Toby · 05/02/2006 13:09

Thanks for welcoming me

izzyrubi - my ds is 14 months, as I said I registered and paid with BizzyKids when he was 8 weeks but as yet have not got round to sending my drs letter etc off to them (becuase of family situation)

I would like to join Bruce & brown but if they are sole agents I am not sure as I have already paid for BizzyKidz! Are the other agencies mentioned good ones - MOT & Elliot Brown? And how much is the registration fee for them?

7777777 · 05/02/2006 13:20

hi mummy2toby, i dont know how much reg fees are with those 2, someone on here will know. just wanted to say hi, my ds 15months and just joined alphabetkidz when allie registered her dd

Your lo is a similar age to mine then - thank you for the welcome

alliep30 · 05/02/2006 13:29

hello tobys ma.. see, we're not all psychopathic pushy mums!!!
My dd is 12mth and 2wks and we just joined alphabet kidz.. had a few no's a couple of yes but this agency really seemed nice and relaxed about things, which suits us as we're an hour from london so don't want to be racing off down there every 5 mins!!

Iz,Cyan and everyone else... is my daughter abnormal.. SHE HAS 13 TEETH!!!! and more on the way...she looks like Mr Ed when she laughs!!!!

7's did u contact cheeky kidz and tell them you weren't going.. did anyone else go?

nitfreecod · 05/02/2006 13:29

i told cheeky kidz to learn how to spell fgs

alliep30 · 05/02/2006 13:30

alliep30 · 05/02/2006 13:32

hello...are you the EVIL cod, or just one with a similar name...I wouldn't tell the woman at cheeky kidz anything cos she looks like she'd head butt you...look at her picture

sh11 · 05/02/2006 14:26

allie - you're so funny

cod pops up in all disguises or else she gets her mob to do her dirty work.
