Result!!!!!

Hellish journey into London but DS was okayed for both B&B and Norrie. Going with B&B - I really liked the owner and she was terrific with DS (and DD who was butting in all the time and generally being a bit of a handful). Fortunately for DS, he is in the "right" age group which seems to get stacks of work at the moment.

Need to take care of all of the paperwork but I am optimistic that the move from BK will be worth it for DS.

Congrats Izzi - hope IK works out for you. It seems like fate, doesn't it???

Excellent news Pimms! Good to hear B and B meeting went really well. We are really happy with how they operate and they have got dd some v good jobs. Wishing you lots of best wishes and luck re future castings/jobs. Did you see NC as well?

Went to NC after signing with B&B (out of curiosity more than anything - besides it was too late to back out) and had a long chat with one of the assessors there. They were really on the ball and liked DS very much but we felt more comfortable with B&B. Besides, in the grand attempt to save enough money to buy a house, spending 136 pounds a year for being on their books seemed to be a bit indulgent!

misdee, my sis applied at MOT yesterday, her lo has just turned 4 and they said the same to her.. I think more girls apply. dd was turned down by a few, but ds wasn't.. Izzy said that Cheeky K was really nice

Totally - I met the owner, Kipsey. I was a bit surprised - I thought it was going to be a huge bustling office. In fact, it was a small office with one other woman. It gave me the impression of being quite hands-on and personalised. They had the Model Book out for me to have a peek at (the kids all had quite distinctive looks) and took some snaps of DS for preliminary circulation. The phone didn't seem to stop ringing while I was there and Kipsey took all the time in the world to answer my questions and to give me the low-down on the modelling industry. It was a great meeting! They also had copies of the magazines their children were featured in and some adverts tacked up on the wall as well.

Good luck with MOT - let me know what they were like! I won't be around next week but look forward to getting back and reading through all of the posts.

SH11 - DS is 6.
