hi

my 15 mth old would go down at that time, but i try and keep her up til after lunch (ive just put her down there at 1pm) and she sleeps for longer, will probably not wake til 3pmish

Mum2Ela · 03/02/2006 13:09

Alliep30 that is what my DS does (14 months mow, but has been doing this for months). What time does your DD go to bed? I can put DS down for bed at 6pm and he is happy to go. I think this makes up for it

alliep30 · 03/02/2006 13:11

she goes to bed at 6.30, so i shouldn't grumble... i wold just like to be able to go to a toddler group as they're all in the morn

hi allie, thats the best thing you could do, take her to the toddlers group in the morning, she may seem sleepy before you go but when she gets there she will brighten up, have loads of fun, get home, have lunch then sleep really well in the afternoon

good luck!

tassis · 03/02/2006 13:15

at one mine was sleeping from 1pm to 3pm.

it ihgt only take a few days for her to get used to sleping later. you might have to do lunch at 11.30am for a while and put her down at 12...

alliep30 · 03/02/2006 13:16

thanks..i'm going to do that..will just ignore the trashed house and clear it up when i get back... i need to relax!!

sometimes my dd is so tired she wont eat her lunch - but i dont worry and i just put her down then give her something when she wakes, be it 3pm or whatever

and no, dont stress over the untidy house, when you put her down have a cuppae and feet up before you do the housework!

My dd is nearly 16 months but has had the same routine since about 1.

Dhe has lunch about 11.30 and then goes to her bed and sleeps for about 1 -2 hours. She then goes to bed about 7ish and sleeps through.

She does the same at nursery but often only sleeps for a bout 40 mins - so is ratty when she comes home - sometimes.

You may find she sleeps longer if you try to delay any morning nap until after luch - this worked for me. I am currently enjoying my 2 hours of bliss!

alliep30 · 03/02/2006 13:41

well, i've nearly had 1 hour!! The time that she might nap is when we do the school run, and then when we get back it's too late, so i think bringing her nap after lunch should help! It's just reassuring to hear what others do!

It is my belief that they should nap for a whole hour every other hour ...
However, my dd (15 months) does about an hour at 3pm.

cathyspam · 03/02/2006 14:47

my 13 month old sleeps for 2 to 2.5 hours after lunch but doesnt go to bed until 8pm - depends on what you prefer.

Meanoldmummy · 03/02/2006 15:12

My ds2 is 16months and sleeps for an hour 11-12 in the morning, then sleeps 2-30-4.30 in the afternoon, and still goes to bed at 7pm and sleeps through till 7am. I've tried cutting out the morning sleep, because it would be nicer for me to have that time to play with him while ds1 is at nursery - but he lies down on the floor and whines, or points up the stairs!

alliep30 · 03/02/2006 15:36

bless!!! we managed an hour and 20mins and now a bit grumpy!! love the idea of a regular hourly nap.. i'd join in
