I took DS to see Narnia a couple of weeks ago, He was very excited and we went to get some pick and mix sweets. When we got to the counter we noticed the bags used to put popcorn in had Aslan on them (anyone who has read threads about my ds will know hes aslan obsessed - he has a photo album of narnia pictures!)

SO I asked the guy serving if we could please have our sweets in an aslan bag (as we had spent more on sweets than popcorn costs!) He said No and was quite surly.

I thought nothing of it until I saw a comments page on there website so I typed that ds1 had been disapointed....

A few days later I got an email asking for our address

And a couple of days later, A huge Narnia poster arrives!!! DS was sooooo happy...

Then Today, another parcel arrives! With Narnia popcorn bags (!), Paints, crayons and an Aslan notepad!

(Unfortunatly someone at the postoffice had slit the enverlope up the side and helped themselves to what ever else was in the parcel - Royal Mail explained it as accidental damage hmmmm)

How fab is Cineworld!!!!! DS is so delighted

awwww that is really good!

I complained to a local resteraunt before xmas.... me and DH had gone for a meal for our anniversry and been made to wait an hour for our starters! It was a complete shambles! I wrote and complained, and finally got a letter yesterday appologising and offering us 2 free main meals and 2 free deserts for whenever we choose! Well impressed - now.... where is my babysitters phone number - LOL

We went out for our anniversary, and went to very nice restaurant, had a fab meal, and when we got the bill it was £42 pounds. We put £60 cash in the dish with the bill and waited for the waitress to pick it up. And waited and waited, after 15 minutes of her walking repeatedly past our table staring at the cash as though she had never seen it before she finally took it to the till, THEN asked us if we wanted our £18 change!
We were so angry we wrote a letter to the restaurant and got a compplimnetary evening meal, plus wine .
Someitmes it pays to complain.
Well done for complaining to Cineworld. More of us should complain if we aren't happy with the service

BTW how did the "evil tesco lady scarred my child for life " thread end, does anyone know? Did the poster get a result? I couldn't be bothered to look through all threads

TambaTheDragonSlayer · 26/01/2006 14:23

Im not sure how the tesco lady thing ended.

I emailed cineworld to say thank you and to let them know that some one had pilfered the second parcel. He emailed be back saying he would re-send it out. He seems like a nice guy - we are on first name terms now lol - He asked me how I am!! Its nice to make a complaint and not be met with a defense reply iyswim.

i comlpained that a certain Bakers last year, a watress kicked up a massive fuss when i asked for a spare paper cup. She actually phoned someone who told her no. I had just paid £14. for basically a few pasties and a cup of tea. I got a £5 voucher and an apology.
When i went in a few days ago (hadn't been back till then) i asked for a papre cup again just to see and i got one so think they may have changed their 'policies'.
