Yep. Sold an old graphing calculator that I thought was worth about £25 and it turned into a bidding war and went for £108!

helsi · 24/01/2006 20:29

i sold on old dinner service on there for about £500 in various batches of items. turned out it was collectable. I thought I might have got 99p per item!

Its fun watching the bidding war isn't it? The lighter was at about £30 with 8 minutes to go, then just galloped on from there.

Sold a tatty card game which I bought in a charity shop for 50p...for £8.00

misdee · 24/01/2006 20:38

we sold a basic calculator for 28pounds IIRC, and a card game peter bought years ago went for over 20pounds as well.

I had 33 'watchers' an hour before my bidding war ended. It was a blast watching the final minutes. Apparently, there are collectors out there. I also sold a vintage HP 11C calculator I'd use in high school, 20 years ago, for £65 ! Again, that went to bidding war.

I've got a lovely fleece buggy suit that has a hole for the buggy or car seat harness that my mum brought over for me. She paid about $12USD for it, and it's blue w/trains on it. In case I had a boy.

Well, I had a girl so she told me to flog it on Ebay to start DD2s savings account.

It's gone up to £15 and the auction doesn't end till Sunday evening!

I had a free top from Boden which was miles too big for me and as I'd not long given birth I just didn't get round to sending it back. It went for £24.

Also a pair of Isabella Oliver maternity trousers - bought for £55 and re-sold on ebay for £47.
