last night at tea time i was just closing the living room curtains,when i saw a van drive onto our estate.it was awhite van and had 'wheel clamping unit' on the side.dh came home from work and said that there are 5 of these vans parked at a local hotel.they are from the dvla and have a list of cars without valid tax.they clamp your car,if you dont pay within 48 hours,they take your car and squash it!!dh works in big warehouse and 4 people from his work had this happen to them!(my arguement was they should have taxed their cars then!!)one person on our estate had her car clamped.felt sorry for her as its her dh's car and he died a couple of weeks ago.dont think its right that they can just come and take your car though.but just wanted to let anyone in gwynedd know incase they know anyone whose car isnt taxed!
