But .... finished all my christmas shopping

I do my boast now, I've finished my christmas shopping with a day trip to Meadowhall. Gritted teeth, and got it done except the sweeties which I have to leave till the week before christmas, or I eat them!

What can I say, it all bought, wrapped and in the attic until Father Christmas needs them! Also bought dd's b/day pressie and her birthday is in march!

But, just got to say that the other day when dd was wittering on to dh about the doll she wants he said "Well you'll have to see what Santa brings you" she replies "No Daddy, mummy can just go to Argos and get one"!! She only 3 - a bit young to be so cynical!

Oh I'm so pleased Batters, Gizmo & Widget are still one of my favourites - even during the post strike they went out of their way to keep me informed and be really helpful.

Another site which needs a positive mention is MusicRoom ,admittedly of limited interest but I ordered a music score one afternoon recently and received it the next day, ten minutes before the email to say it had been despatched arrived in my inbox.

OK all you smarties pants-y-fronts-thongs etc etc.. but how do you know whatpeople/children want??!!

Do your kids visit Father Christmas and tell him what they would like? (Jollymum quickly scuttles off to Argos/Wherever each year and exchanges goods)

A friend of mine excitedly bought her little munchkin EVERYTHING (and I mean EVERYTHING )to do with Thomas the Tank Engine last year only to find out three days before Xmas that he HATED Thomas and wanyted NODDY!! How do you all know what to buy or do you just get stuff and hope it's OK?!
