If you have any carpet cleaner use it quickly - I did this (purple nail varnish on cream carpet) and it came out in about 10minutes.

I did this and used antibacterial handgel and a toothbrush on the area and then used a carpet cleaner and it all came out.

I've got it out using nail polish remover (only if it is wool - don't use it on an acrylic carpet!)

before i found you i found wikianswers so was busy using hairspray and nail varnish remover.... then hit the carpet cleaner... almost gone, will do 2nd application tomorrow morning. Also will try handgel and toothbrush (inspired celeriac!!)

Thank you so much! and just done nails at dining room table with cloth down. Balancing the deep red purple on knee in lounge was never going to go down well!
