You could always pop into town and go to the Transport museum. Covent Garden.

Then when you come out you would watch the performers. Though the weather's a bit dismal for that today.

Failing that.... off to Ally Pally with you.

Flossam · 15/01/2006 11:48

The trasnport museum was closed not so long ago for a re fit I think? Don#t know if it is open again now.

Flossam · 15/01/2006 11:49

It is closed till next year apparently

MarsOnLife · 15/01/2006 11:50

What?????????????????????????? Oh dear. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm need to think of something else then.

DH could take you all out to the RAF museum in Hendon. I know it's not trains, but planes, however... needs will as needs must.

(Thanks Flossam!)

Ruislip Lido has a train thingy. Otherwise the RAF museum in Hendon is good, went there today. Cafe is crap so take sandwiches if you need them, you can get a cuppa.

(dont worry your school friend wasnt MTS'S dh!!!)

mummytosteven · 15/01/2006 22:21

No definitely not my DH!

According to his book, nearest one open that appears to be open during the week is East Anglian Railway Museum at Chappel and Wakescolne. He also says to look at this website: ukhrail.uel.ac.uk - it's a general website for UK heritage railways.
