I have had ongoing trouble with my wisdom teeth and its taken years for them to break though, with bouts of pain when they have tried. Anyway 3 of them are through now and my top one is trying to break through again, its hurts so much, my Dh thinks the tooth is broken, but I would have known if I broke it surely!!! I can't see the tooth proberably but I can see something dark on the tooth, wether its dried blood or the tooth is rotten I can't tell, whats the chance of it being rotten when I have no rotten teeth, 1 filling when I was younger and I take care of my teeth.

oh sparkly poor you! do all that chicagomum says especially now i know she is dentist not a humble hygienist like me hee hee. wish i could do those funny signs.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU do a tea temperature hot salty mouthwash obviously do not swallow. This will calm the area down a bit for you take painkiller and go to bed and get some sleep.

My big sister is visiting us from france tomorrow and i am very excited hence cannot sleep. And my d/h is back in six weeks time.

Have a good birthday and good luck at the dentist.

How did you get on sparkly ? hope it is getting sorted and you can enjoy rest of birthday.

sparklymieow · 13/01/2006 15:42

The top tooth is rotten and the bottom one has a BIG hole in. She gave me meds and dressed the bottom one, but I have to go and have them removed under sedation. She took x-rays and that made me gag and my eyes were watering. They are also going to remove two teeth had are tucked behind my teeth as I can't clean them proberly.

Poor you, I had a wisdom tooth taken out once under local won't do that again! defo going to push to have them out under general if any more need to come out but you probably didn't want to hear that! Although I do feel a lot better not having it there

chicagomum · 13/01/2006 19:28

Soory to hear that sparkly, at least the sedation will make it a bit more bearable, and on the bright side, once they are gone, they can't bother you any more. (P.S. remember to carry on with the salt rinses and to take arnica starting the day before you have the teeth removed).

chicagomum · 13/01/2006 19:30

OH and puddingandpie, nothing humble at all about being a hygeinist (hope you didn't think I was infering any such thing), after all without you where would us dentists fob off the really grotty mouths? . We would have to do them ourselves!!!

puddingandpie · 15/01/2006 13:10

sparkly hope you are feeling bit better now you've actually been to dentist. Sedation will certainly help you relax. good luck

chicagomum I like your style and yes we Hygienist are fab!!?????!!!! humble what's that?
