I have this mad idea that I may try and do one for ds's 4th b'day...

Has any one already made one and can tell me (who is not very good at stuff like this) how to do it?

Otherwise, are there any supermarkets that stock them?

Make a round cake and make it look Tracy Island-ish then hotfoot to Woolworths, buy some small Thunderbird toys, place them strategically on said Tracey Island and bob's yer uncle!

have you seen the price of thunderbirds toys tho?

each one would be more than the cake!

just put one or 2 thunder bird toys on the cake and let it be part of your little boys birthday present. You dont need a TOY for every child at the party!

(what number is the green flat one?)

otherwise.. anyone seen them in the shops?

have just realised i will probably be making one of these soon. the green flat one is thunderbird 2

i will make cake, cover in ready roll fondant icing, place drawing or picture of thunderbird on top and then follow the lines with a sharp knife so it makes an impression on the icing. then take drawing off and paint with paintbrush and food colouring. very easy, no talent required

get a book from the library and trace using greaseproof paper or find a pic on google and trace or print if you need the picture

If you go to google, click on images, then put in Thunderbird 2 cake - it shows you 4 successful cakes! Mind you, they look like hard work!
