DS is in yr 7
Last week there was a really bad crash on a local road, a car collided with two lorries turning out on to a main A road
All 3 occupants were killed outright
Today DS found out that it was a boy in another yr 7 class at his school was killed along with his parents, even worse and so so sad is that they had an older ds (also at the school) who was not involved and now he has lost his entire family
DS is lost for words, it has deadened the whole town I think. Life is just so unfair sometimes.

I am sorry to hear that happened in your town, my son goes to the same school that Rory Blackhall attended, the whole area was in shock for months and the children were sad, it is unfair when things like this happen.

Oh no poor things This happened when I was about the same age, a little girl in my class was killed in a road accident, (they ran into a tractor which had no lights on in a country lane and she was not buckled in the back)
along with her parents, but her brother survived. I remember our head crying in assembly, it was so sad.

Agree life is unfair.

what a tragic tale and what a sad memory cd

Hulababy · 09/01/2006 17:48

So sorry

Piffle · 09/01/2006 17:55

I know he actually said that was one bonus to having parents that are not together, if one of us is in a road crash he'll have one left.
On another day he would have joked but he was deathly serious
The older son was actually in school today as well.

they say thats best isnt it - to try to carry on

Piffle · 09/01/2006 18:00

I would guess that with his family gone, his next closest people might be his friends and his teachers perhaps...

. How heartbreaking. When I was at school members of a local family were killed in the Scilly Isles helicoptor crash, and one of the daughters was just a few years below me. There is a pitch at ds' school named after an ex-pupil who was an Olympic athletics prospect but was run over on a training run. Hope they find an appropriate way of remembering this boy.

biglips · 09/01/2006 18:06

oh no how sad

Gingerbear · 09/01/2006 18:09

terrible. The poor lad. Lincolnshire's roads are notorious aren't they?

spacecadet · 09/01/2006 18:13

my elder 2 go to soham village college and the holly and jessica murder really shook everyone, when they went back to school that september, they had to look at the caretakers house as it is right next to the school with fencing round it for months, now its demolished and grassed. holly's elder brother still attended the school, it must have been awful for him.

codnotamod · 09/01/2006 18:13

oh dear sc

spacecadet · 09/01/2006 18:16

and i met ian huntley at the open evening, one month before the murders, he was in the foyer handing out leaflets.

codnotamod · 09/01/2006 18:18

was the suspicion on him afetr the murders earlier than we all heard about

spacecadet · 09/01/2006 18:21

i dont know really, cos he gave an interview to look east after it happened and there was def something not right about the way he was acting, also maxinecarr gave an interview to look east as well making out that she adored those girls..he took part in the search and the press conferences.

Pfer · 09/01/2006 18:22

Piffle, this was truely awful wasn't it. The pictures were dreadful. That poor boy. Sadly it's not the first fatal accident just there and I doubt it will be the last, I hate that road.

spacecadet · 09/01/2006 18:22

i suppose they had their suspicions earlier thoufgh at the end of the day.

NannyL · 09/01/2006 18:25
