Missed end of Auction on Ebay ...what to do?

I am a relative novice on ebay and missed the end of an item i wanted. Is there anything i can do?

was there any bids on the item?

if someone else won the bid there is nothing you can do.

no - sorry - unless there were no bids on it - then you could consider contact the seller and giving them an offer on it.

Sorry forgot to add that vital point - no - there were no bids on it...

you culd contact and ask if they will sell it to you outside of ebay. it can be risky as you have no ebay protection on your side.

I've done this before and then contacted the seller direct - worth a try!

often they will put it back up again. If not, contact them and ask for a private sale. Check out the sellers stats and if they have had loads of sales, are based in this country, have little/no negative feedback, might be worth a risk if item isn?t too pricey.
Are there no other same products coming onto ebay? Rare you get a one off unless looking and antique stuff.
