Go to your GP. It probably has nothing to do with your section but could be anything. It is almost certainly not serious, but worth checking out. Pain does need investigating IMO.

Ask your GP - it could be connected to the section, it could be connected to the coil, it could be completely unconnected ... but you should get it checked out by someone who knows what he's doing.

I have an ache down my left side (ovary area) during my period, and funnily enough that's been since my c-section 15 months ago too! Might get myself to the Drs as well!

let us know how you get on biglips!

madmarchhare · 06/01/2006 21:17

I have had much more pain with my periods since having DS (c section too). I have mentioned it to my GP who said this is not uncommon, and not just with sections.

When I had my smear at f planning clinic I mentioned it and they agreed.

millie34 · 06/01/2006 21:28

i too get this. i had a CS in august and ever since just before my periods are due i get the pains you are describing. i have mentioned this to my GP and she was not at all concerned.
i would see your own GP though just to see what she says.

mumfor1sttime · 06/01/2006 21:33

I had a cs nearly 12 months ago, and I still get twinges, not just when I have a period.
Come to think of it, think it might be the left side too.
Maybe something to do with the side the surgeon was on and which side the operation 'was performed' so to speak, this is what I was told in hospital - not sure how true it is!

mumfor1sttime · 06/01/2006 21:34

When I say in hospital - I mean after birth.
