I am going to a party tomorrow night and have just noticed that it is fancy dress - any suggestions for something easy please?

Current favourites are witch (DD2 has a hat) or a punk (but probs with hair for punk).

I have a book which suggests some terrible punning fancy dress costumes, eg pin knickers all over your top and go as a chest of drawers It's in dd's bedroom but if I get a chance to look tomorrow I'll have a flick through. There's a great suggestion for a group of kids to all go as Crayola crayons, dressed and face-painted all over in bright colours. Not sure a single crayon would work, though!

mmm, I like the chest of drawers, but not sure my greying "big knickers" would do it...

A rugby player? If you or your DH have a rugby style shirt wear it with either tracky bottoms or shorts and put a bandage round your head for that thing that holds their ears back (or at least I think that's what it's for), put some make-up on your face to make it look dirty and some gel in your hair to make it messy, carry a rugby ball. Did this was DS2 when he was tiny he was dead cute.

Oh, sorry, didn't see this! I went as a punk with full-on scary make up, mad hair, jeans, DMs and a T shirt strategically ripped to show large amount of heaving bosom.

And safety pins in my ears.
