Right now I am surfing to see if I can get a better deal than last year. Only have 2yrs no claims and only passed my test once I had dear daughter.

Who are you with?

im with Tescos.

also 2yrs NCB but im only 23 so mine is always high - i now pay £51 a mnth for a 1.6 mondeo

hotmama · 03/01/2006 22:00

I ring around every year to get the best deal so usually change companies. I have just changed to Direct Line - I have often used them, have used Diamond, Admiral and Churchill in the past.

munz · 03/01/2006 22:01

same as J&RM tesco, I have 1yrs NCB, a 1.6 Injection Renult megane 99 plate (we do say it's garaged when it's just on the drive thou) we pay £41.00 p/m. previously we were with norwich union for the exact same they wanted £45 would avoid them now as they were a pita with the DD.

NomDePlume · 03/01/2006 22:04

I use Norwich Union Direct. They did me an excellent deal first time around, at least £200 cheaper than other quotes. My renewal quote was much cheaper again ! They beat the pants off everyone else(inc diamond and other 'women only' insurers). In general you will get a better deal from a 'direct' insurer, as there is no middle man to bump up overheads and therefore prices.

NomDePlume · 03/01/2006 22:06

In fact, NU did such a great job of quoting me happy, that my DH swapped his insurance to them too and got a lower quote than anywhere else AND a discount for me already having a policy with them

charliecat · 03/01/2006 22:07

try confused.com they search a load for you

kid · 03/01/2006 22:07

We are with Kwikfit, I got a cheaper quote from someone else and told them. They then matched it and gave me breakdown recovery too plus 10% discount at their garages.

Carameli · 03/01/2006 23:00

thnaks for all these, going to try one of those places that searches a whole load for you and als give a few of the ideas here a look.

I went with Lloyds TSB through FREEFIVERS The insurance was cheap and I got £70 cashback. It's currently £50 but still a nice bonus at this time of year!

i use privilege. i pay £130 for a n reg mondeo 2litre 4x4 . which is fully comp for me and hubby.

funnygirl · 04/01/2006 12:00

i use admiral - was cheapest in comparison for me.

Kelly1978 · 04/01/2006 12:13

elephant was the cheapest for us.

unicorn · 04/01/2006 12:29

egg.. cheapest by far for us.

clerkKent · 04/01/2006 13:10

Tesco was the cheapest of five quotes. I tried confused.com, but gave up when they wanted obsessive details about dw's driving history and full details of no-fault claims from years ago.

clerkKent · 04/01/2006 13:11

I think it was Sainsburys, not Tesco.....

Jodee · 04/01/2006 13:11

Norwich Union quoted us very happy too.

mumfor1sttime · 04/01/2006 13:25

I went with Budget. I have only been driving 6 months so was hard to get a cheap quote. These were the cheapest for me.
I have a 1.1 fiesta and pay £300 a year with RAC cover.

mumfor1sttime · 04/01/2006 13:27

Diamond insurance is Admiral. These were the most expensive for me.

LynnC · 04/01/2006 13:28

Elephant cheapest for me by big difference compared to Churchill who I was with for 4 years.
