I had a laugh today. Sky Channel recently launched UKTV here in NZ... a whole channel dedicated to English television programmes. Joy of Joys ... sad old Ghosty, you are all thinking ... but considering NZ telly is pretty bad, DH and I have amused ourselves watching ancient episodes of The Young Ones, Porridge, Open All Hours. They promise to have everything from 'Pride and Prejudice' to 'Minder' to 'Hetty Wainthrop' to 'Silent Witness' to 'The Benny Hill Show'!
Anyway today I watched ... the First EVER episode of Eastenders ... how funny was that? Who remembers it? They find that old bloke Reg dead and then introduce the whole square by having everyone talking about it ...

The funniest bit was a good few shots of Ali Osman in the pub, playing darts, with a poster of Page 3 girl (boobs and all) in full view behind his head .... Surely they wouldn't allow that now????
I really enjoyed it ... I just need 18 years to catch up!!!
