Hi
I moved into a new house 2 months ago and we have slate tiles in the kitchen.
Trouble is they always seem to look dusty or dirty. Was wondering if there is a pro[per way to care for them
What to use to clean them and if there is a sealer or polish to make them look beter maybe ?

Hi Overdraft, I have slate tiles in the bathroom. Ours were sealed when they were laid and the sealant makes them look really black and also helps to protect them. The sealant wears off over time and it needs to be renewed. Ours needs done right now and the tiles look quite grey. Normally I just sweep up the dust and then wash them, but even if they're spotless they look a bit faded because they need resealed so it sounds like that might be your problem. I think we bought the sealant from the tile shop but I imagine B&Q etc would do it.
