Also, if your already organised how can you help me - I would love to be naturally organised but I am sadly not. It makes me miserable that I am not though and really want to be better this year.

I've bought a calender from organisedmom.com, it's fab.

starlover · 30/12/2005 17:47

i am totally unorganised. i keep thinking i'll get better... but i never do

i think i am resigned to it now

hunkermunker · 30/12/2005 17:47

I have a Lakeland family calendar, complete with pockets for birthday cards, invites, etc for each month.

I have decluttered the house to within an inch of its life and bought fab toy storage unit.

I have a strict "if I don't use it or love it it gets slung" policy now - DH finding this hard to come to terms with and often sulks over not being able to keep his favourite old T-shirt with holes in.

peckarollover · 30/12/2005 17:49

hunker - I bought a book today 101 steps to decluttering where she tells you explicitly what to do, task by task and room by room. So hopefully I will be very decluttered soon too!

How are you planning on keeping up with things? Im quite good at gutting the house but I think the max tiem Ive kept it clean and tidy is 1 week!

FairyTaleinNewYork · 30/12/2005 17:52

i have got to declutter. am about to liost some stuff on freecycle board local to me.

rummum · 30/12/2005 17:55

Seb1... I type my meal planner out in Word...
I just make a chart.. all the days of the week, and then I put what we're having each night... print it out... .. write the shopping list on the back, go shopping.. then stick up my plan on the fridge... Vola.......

I could always email it to you....

mazzystar · 30/12/2005 17:56

we have put up a huge blackboard in the kitchen (it looks v funky)

and shall write things like shopping lists and what we are having for supper on it

AuntyQuated · 30/12/2005 18:03

i am going to be more organised!
it will help me hugely if i just get of the PC and go and do some sorting.
we have to empty the spare room by 9th as dd is going to have that room and wardraobes are going to be fitted then. so that is supposed to be an incentive.

talking of me being disorganised...pecka...i need to email you

futurity · 30/12/2005 18:06

what's a "Lakeland family calendar"? Can't see it on the website...sounds good though...

puff · 30/12/2005 18:08

I just have to make sure dh doesn't see me taking anything to charity shops - he will sneak it back in - terrible hoarder.

peckarollover · 30/12/2005 18:30
