and the planning issue is STILL not resolved, and the houses will not be released till it is. There is another meeting on the 3rd week of january, so I guess we won't be moving till feb or march now.

whats this about your housing?

NutcrackingXmas · 28/12/2005 14:48

I thought some people had already moved in though ??

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 14:49

nope, only the private ones.

But surely a planning issue would effect anyone moving into the houses.

I would be very angry and make it known. They are messing you about now, tell them in no uncertain terms that it is not on and you will be ringing every 2 days until they have something good to tell you.

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 14:56

Thats what I thought, but maybe its because we are the one that is directly in front of the building. Apparently its between the builders and the business lawyers.

Sorry they are messing you around. Agree if there were an outstanding planning issue surely the solicitors acting for those buying wouldn't have let them complete. Is this meeting between the HA and council or HA and developer ? Could it be that the developers haven't allocated the correct proportion of properties to the HA or not provided the agreed facilities (such as allocated parking provision). The planning officer at the Council may be able to clarify what the real issue is, if there is one.

followthestarlover · 28/12/2005 14:58

it depends if it is just certain houses though.

what is the planning issue that isn't resolved yet?

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 14:59

The issue is between a business and the builders, something to do with the location of the houses. And because of this, the housing association won't accept the houses.

OP posts:
followthestarlover · 28/12/2005 15:00

so it may only apply to certain houses... which would explain how come some people have moved in?

how annoying for you

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 15:01

The whole lot of the HA houses are all blocked in, all the private ones have been released.

OP posts:
Tortington · 28/12/2005 15:10

the homeowners may hhave bought off another developer whilst it looks like the HA are refusing handover due to this planning reason. unfortunate but not a lot you can do am afraid - i dont think that complaining can make a difference to your mov in date. however you should contact them if you want more specific information.

thats proper bob that is - really sorry.

coppertop · 28/12/2005 15:16

I hope they get it sorted out for you as soon as possible. xx

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 16:35

They are all being built by the same people. I know there is nothing we can do, just want to be in it was supposed to be oct-dec, then jan, now feb/march. I hope we are out of here before any of the Apeman crew are out of prison....

OP posts:
LadySherlockofLGJ · 28/12/2005 16:45

How long are they in prison for ????????????

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 16:46

the youngest got 3 years so he will only serve about1-2 years

OP posts:
LadySherlockofLGJ · 28/12/2005 16:48

But they only went away this summer.....

sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 16:48

I know, just feels like the HA are pushing it back and back. I know in my heart we will be gone before the youngest gets out, just being silly.

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 16:50

A few weeks back I nearly had a heart attack when I saw a car just like Apeman's parked out the house, I know he is in prison, but it made my heart thump.

OP posts:
sparklymieow · 28/12/2005 16:56

well, on the bright side at least it gives me moretime to make up the money that I had to use for my cat's vet bill
