Agree with SantaClaus Frau. They cocked up and have tried to sort it out. But double check with bank.

I hate book clubs! Bin them and get stuff from Red House Books instead. No commitment and great books cheap.

just checked with bank nothing has gone through thank god. It wouldn't have made me over drawn but it would have made things a bit tight. Thank god for that! I thought they had charged me extra... and their stupid bloody automated call service is CRAP! rant over thanks!

Yes - quickly finish whatever you've got of your membership commitment (not worth trying to get out of the commitment - they'll chase you - but get the cheapest things you can) and then cancel your membership with them - not worth it. As Aloha says, Red House/Book People far better - better books at exactly the same sort of bargain prices & no commitments or stupid braindead Editors' Choices.

chase, chase and chase when you do cancel your membership! just giving them one month's notice wasn't enough - in my case they seemed to expect me to tell them that more than once!!!
