Christmas present ideas for pregnant lady - what did you appreciate?

OK I might as well start off by admitting I mean me and am not just being considerate to a sister or friend. The thing is people have been asking me what I would like and I'm short of inspiration.
What sort of presents did you appreciate?

I'm still working my way through the lavendar bubble bath I got last time I was pregnant plus have a drawer full of massage oils. Probably sound really ungrateful but ideas would be good and I could remember them for others when appropriate.

second the clothes vouchers idea - I loved having the money to get a new wardrobe when i'd lost a bit of babyweight - it really made me feel like me again.

I really enjoyed getting loads of self induglent stuff! My pleasure is wine.... and since I couldn't have any I had to find another one!! Clothes, scented candles, long hot baths... good food.

Sigh

Of course next time won't be like that coz I'll have a toddler running around!

What about some nice stuff from Lush? they do lovely hair products and a great solid deoderant (not that I'm implying that you smell ) and nice moisturising stuff.

Or a subscription to a magazine?

A box of really really nice chocolates?

A really good book (to read now because you won't get time afterwards!!!!) ?

A voucher for a pedicure?

ps Congrats by the way - haven't had chance to say so, but I'm really chuffed for you!

To be honest anything that's for you and for you alone that you can enjoy when you're not pregnant. I've forgotten all about me since I had my DD!
Ideas off the top of my head:
A day quad biking - bound to help you forget your're a responsible mother of 2!
Expensive boots
Good quality make-up
photo albums for all those family pics!
Hair straighteners
a tattoo!
a sunbed course

I'm all out of ideas and need a wee so............

I was 39 weeks on Christmas day last year. I got really p*ssed off with people saying to me "What would you like for Christmas, maybe some sleepsuits?" Because I don't really wear sleepsuits. I made it very clear to people that while I definitely welcomed pressies for my baby, that was what they were - they were not presents for me!

What about accessories - the type of clothing you can wear whether pg or not. Or something totally frivolous (like the silly toys that my brothers & I buy for each other), because being pg can make you feel so grown up.

Also I remember thinking - why not just forget I am pg, and buy me whatever you usually would - a book, a CD etc. Somehow people seemed incapable of this!

By the way - congratulations!

LOL SueW - could do with those at the mo - 11 weeks and huge belly. Thanks everyone. You've come up with some lovely ideas - why aren't you my friends and family and then I wouldn't even need to bother with this thread.

Really I just want to say "a nice surprise" - but then fear an explosion of lavendar bubble bath. How ungrateful am I?

BTW Fisil I cannot believe that people were buying you sleepsuits for your Christmas present. Bad enough that it was for your baby and not for you - but at least it could have been a gorgeous little outfit or a teddy bear and not a sleep suit!!
