dd wants to give us a promise of cheap flights to see her and have a short holiday

we both fear flying but i want to go despite that, but dp says no, means no and says don't mention it again

he did fly to go snowboarding which was something he wanted to do, I was scared of flying and snowboarding but did both the first year we were together

that was the last holiday we had

I haven't even had days off since last christmas

but it looks like I'll have to go to madrid on my own or not at all..I'm not sure if i could fly on my own though

I think you should go with or without him. The flight to Madrid isnt too long from UK. My mum goes to the Drs and gets beta blockers before she flies. Madrid is a fantastic city and it will be lovely in May. It might be nice to have a girly weekend.

I wouldn't be able to go on a plane on my own without telling the staff that I was scared..if dp was there I would be holding on to him for dear life

I'm just disappointed that he won't go (I actually think he is less phobic of flying than me) I don't think he likes travel

Go on your own, go see hynotherapist in the meantime
It's fabulous in Madrid, if you're not going to get on a plane, make sure its the one coming back
