Golden wedding anniversary ideas

My gran and grandad are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary this Christmas Eve and I'm looking for inspiration for present ideas..? They aren't big on fuss so a party is out, what gift could I get them that's golden and more importantly, tasteful...?

a shrub/rose etc for the garden that has the name 'Golden' something or other...

Rose tree is not exactly original but i think beautiful and usually appreciated?

I'm glad acnebride suggested a rose too....i LOVE plants etc....

I bought myself a 'twisted' hazel tree a few years back....it has yellow catkins (lamstails)in feb....and looks just like the willows on the chinese plates....i bought it to represent my complex mind!!!!! (i'm not bitter and twisted...just twisted!!!! !!!)
