Friends 30th Birthday meal.... 14 people and...

....not a married person amongst them..... or a parent!

Best friend ever, we've been friends for 15 year. We all went out for dinner on Friday. Dh and I were the only people there married with kids.

And I was the youngest at 27! There were 6 people I am friends with, the rest were people from her work (she's a teacher). I didn't talk about my kids at all..... then about 2 hours into the night I showed the woman next to me a photo of my kids on my phone (didn't know her before that night and she asked)..... it was met with a chorus of OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO is that got the photos out already!!!

I was bloody pissed off. I'd listened to them all night harp on about their work!

sorry..... no reason for this thread other than a bitchfest!

ok... I said no reason for the thread, but was hoping for a bit of parental solidarity folks!

LOL SA! Just printing out pics of DS to put in Xmas cards (to people I know want to see them, btw) so know what you mean - not as if you forced it upon her.

What pisses me off is that I work, I talk about work..... it bores MEEEEEE never mind everyone else! But mention the most precious things in my life and I get that reaction???!

They'll all be round over Christmas with presents for them..... playing with their toys.

In fact, on Christmas night DH and I and the kids are always invited to my best friends parents house so her Dad can play with ds with cars!!
