Anyone else feel like writing out parenting dilemmas on here should make things clearer???

I sit here, read the issues that other people are having, and it seems easy to come up with answers (even if they are not answers that will work for that person etc, iyswim)... but when you are in the situation, it all goes fuzzy and you have no idea how to deal with it.

I feel like I want some way to come on, write what crisis I'm having, and then be able to read it and pretend its someone else's life - I'd have the answers then!!!!

Do I now sound completely insane????

You might find that it really helps just to write it all down anyway.

actually I have several times started a mumsnet thread, but as Im writing it all out, my brain magically clears and I feel able to post some advice to myself, so the thread never gets started!
I blame dx. If I could talk to him, I wouldnt get so confused, would I?

I think lots of people make their minds up through posting rather than through the replies

I also find I look for the answers for other people through google etc and forget to do that for my own queries..

it's always easier to give advice than to take it or work it out for yourself though

I have solved some of my dilemmas just by thinking about posting on here. IE in my mind I have thought what I would type (actually meaning to do it) then have actually heard the replies in my head.. Very strange, but so far have not actually started a post myself.

works for me (although I am sure I will post eventually)
