anyone heard of a google virus?

been told google are having trouble with a virus at the moment - anyone know if it's true? My machine is playing up and I use google a lot. Even with good virus software I'm concerned.

Hmm, the first problem looked like it was mostly MS (and it was a proof-of-concept thing, not a real bug). And the second is someone else pretending to be google, which isn't really google's fault is it?

I'm sure they're not perfect, but they seem pretty reliable and sensible.
