What's acceptable today on TV, radio and papers etc in your opinion?
Give me some help - I seem to be cringing all the time when I hear stuff when the kids are with me.
I need to know what's normal! TIA

Have to agree about cringing when children are around. Ds was watching Coronation Street the other day, and some one said 'bloody' (not too bad imo) and someone else said 'crap'. Ds asked me why everyone kept swearing. I told him it was an adult programme and he said 'Well, they still shouldn't swear'. Bless.

You'd be surprised what's deemed "OK" on TV. Bollocks and bugger fine during daytime, for instance.

It getting worse, now I find if someone says 'bastard' on a soap, it is a few scenes later when I realise, where as a few years ago it just did'nt happen.

I must admit when I hear 'arse' I feel my mother coming out in me and I want to say it's not big and it's not clever.
