I Am Terrified

Just had a frantic phone call from BIL's girlfriend (my best mate). BIL was walking his dog (a Rotti) and a van full of blokes pulled up, smacked BIL over the head with something, he fell over and they have taken his dog.

We know who it is - BIL has got involved in some dodgy things in the past and 3 months or so ago there were some pretty nasty threats going around then things died down, now this has happened.

The person who will have instigated the whole thing wasn't the one who jumped out of the van but he is the one thats been throwing the threats around. BIL has his number but now he wont answer his phone.
Now DP, BIL, other BIL and best mates 2 brothers have all gone out looking for them to try and get their dog back. This has just got trouble written all over it and ha done for a long time, although we have tried not to get involved, this is DP's family, he is not just ging to sit back and let anything bad happen.

Don;t get me wrong DP and BIL's aren't The Krays or anything but I wouldn't like to cross them and not many people around here would.
Have now found out MIL went out looking for the dog and now no-one can get hold of her.

For Fucks Sake. They have 3 kids and these people now know where they live!!!

SC - You and your DP have your dd to think about..... and isn't that much more important than fighting an old battle of your BILs? Please phone him.

I presume he doens't have a knife with him though??

No he doesn't SA and he never had it for that intention either. It had all carvings etc on it which is why had got it, just something that has stayed in a draw in the bedroom to be honest but I don't like anything like that so it went up in the loft when we moved.

He's been gone an hour now - am going to ring him.

And people wonder why Luton has a bad reputation. Dont' get me wrong there are nasty areas to most places but in Luton it is just constant

We have our bad areas too, SC, but Luton is a scary place, I hate going through there. I believe that Lou33 moved from Luton because of problems there.

Yep Lou used to live just round the corner from where I used to live.
We personally have never had any problems, we just seem to inherit other peoples

SC it all sounds so horrid. Im afraid I live in a rose tinted bubble too though and would hate to be involved (albeit unwillingly) in something like this. Please keep us posted

I don't think so sparkly, the used to but we moved from there in January. Whose to say they don't knwo wher I live though, they have just had no reason to come here as yet.

Mmm - reading between the line's I think SC's DP and BIL are as much in the thick of it as the 'other side' are!

Hope it all works out ok SC and that DP is back soon

Not that I approve of all the underlying implications of violence, you understand!

Totally Soapbox BIL is no angel and should not have got involved in what he did but he didn't hurt a sole, he didn't threaten anyone or their fiance or their 3 children one of whom is 5 weeks old, he just done a few dodgy deals.

They were yes - although it doesn't make it any better they were not hard drugs - it was cannabis.

The ringleaders girlfriend who is off her nut on god knows what keeps ringing and saying "they've got your dog" "they know where you live".

That is so scary, SCT. Hope you get him back safe and sound asap. I'm in H, not too far away (but thankfully very different). Are you still in Luton itself or have you moved out?
