Anybody know how to revive suede that got wet?

The collar of a suede jacket got wet (my mother was trying to clean it) and has dried all hard and stiff and wrinkly. Any magic solutions for getting it back to soft and pliable?

A good going over with a stiff brush?

Yeah, that's the best I could come up with too dcdo. Either that or a good seeing to with a warm iron (snigger)

I'll just have to tell mother that her jacket is doomed.

you need to steam it with a kettle or somesuch...and then raise the nap with a brush.
