the smallest amount of stuff htat it takes to show her sisters she has one

vickiyumyum · 05/12/2005 21:33

ds2 was 11months old for his first christmas and i brough him some finger puppets, he loved them, both for him to play with and for me to play tickles with him!

packet of chocolate buttons, small beanies, i also brought ds some wooden cars from elc, they have small plastic people suitable from about 1y.o but i'm sure they would be fine for a 10 month old.

Sorry to butt in...where did you get the finger puppets from vicki? My DS2 will also be 10 months and I hadn't thought about a stocking for him ...oops! Those ideas seem cool!

hornbag · 05/12/2005 21:38

Had this problem last year when DS was 6m but he had to have a stocking because of big sister. How about -
-character bowl/plate/beaker/cutlery type things
-practical stuff like socks and gloves
-cuddly toy (good space filler)
-something with her name on (door plaque, hairbrush)

hornbag · 05/12/2005 21:51

I disagree MJ, our DD loves seeing what her litle brother has

MaddhurJaffrey · 05/12/2005 21:52

ok, its up to you then!

thecattleareALOHing · 05/12/2005 21:52

I doubt that ds will notice, frankly. But might put something in. Prob recycled stuff that ds used to own. She's getting a stacking hen for Christmas.

vickiyumyum · 05/12/2005 22:11

i got them from house of fraser in their christmas department, think i saaw some in the pier too and elc.

PantomimEDAMe · 05/12/2005 22:44

a stacking hen?

PantomimEDAMe · 05/12/2005 22:44

is this a post-modernist take on battery farming, or what?

thecattleareALOHing · 06/12/2005 12:38

Its a stacking tower of hoops with a hen's head on top basically. Nicer than it sounds!
She doesn't need anything at all, obviously.

littledonkeyrach · 06/12/2005 13:19

Last year DD2 ( 5 mths) got some baby shampoo and bubble bath, some wet wipes, a plate, spoon etc, a tiny cuddly toy.

It was for DD1's benefit.
