FC delivers unwrapped, assembled, batteries in and ready to go!!!

crystaltips · 03/12/2005 17:49

Fisher Price Kitchen was assembled a couple of days beforehand ... thankfully I had the foresight as it took over 2 hours ....

ladymuck · 03/12/2005 17:50

Having made the mistake one year, present come ready assembled.

maddiemosthorrid · 03/12/2005 17:51

Assembled, saves constant whinging on xmas day and inevitable screwdriver rage

StarofBethleCam · 03/12/2005 17:53

Not assembled, got to keep dh busy on Xmas morning!

charlietherednosedpussy · 03/12/2005 17:53

Assembled, often Playmobil types start at 11 pm and finish around 3am...Im not joking

Hulababy · 03/12/2005 17:55

Some assembled, and often he is kind enough to have opened the boxes and remove the tags, etc from the toys too. And he remembers batteries

LIZS · 03/12/2005 18:02

Don't often bother to pre-assemble although do sometimes at birthdays. Depends what it is really.

Surely half the fun of Playmobil is the 3 hours assembly time - Christmas would n't be Christmas in our house without it ! (anyone know if much required for the Grande Mansion or Rock Castle btw !)

zippimistletoes · 03/12/2005 18:18

How can the fisher price kitchen take two hours... aghast

santaslittleunicorn · 03/12/2005 18:25

ahhh...
will have to get our Father Christmas to assembel.....

but is it still wrapped??

When I was a kid FC didn't only not assemble, he usually left prices on and sometimes half-way through the afternoon, after we had been ent to kitchen to "tidy", other pressies would miracously appear!!!!

FC usually pissed on Christmas Eve!!!!!

depends on the age of the child IMO............spent last night building smoby kitchen for dd2's gift. bloody hell, -1,000 bits and two hours later....... really glad I did it now. (is now stashed under stairs BTW) also HATE stupid wirey stuff they put round my little ponies and barbie type things so will take that off too. shes only two ffs, she just wants to open it and go play, not wait three hours for right screwdriver etc etc.
bigger children like the building part so leave it all for them and dad to do.

Jen1209 · 03/12/2005 20:12

No children yet but remember Christmas's of unassembled present and Father Christmas forgetting the necessary batteries!!!!

LIZS · 03/12/2005 20:14

Did wonder should I assemble before hand. As if I haven't enough to do!

HaveYourselfAKnottyLittleXmas · 03/12/2005 20:23

The toys are all made by industrious elves aren't they? So they always come assembled. Honestly.

gloriainexcHELSIsdeo · 03/12/2005 20:30

Yes he assembles most things here and also has plenty of batteries already in them.
