first of all, now we appear to have a reason for the wetting himself (he had be doing it deliberately - laughing and giggling to his brother as he did it) - this morning complained that it hurt when he wee-ed and this afternoon after school was in tears when using the toilet - thankfully already have a doctors appointment for Monday so should get that sorted then.
But that's not the bit I'm upset about - if he's got an UTI there's nothing I could have done about it.
However, today was the Christingle Service in the Church at 2pm - I was going to make the effort to get up early (was working last night) so I could go - but completely forget. And I was a couple of minutes late picking him up from school and I think they may have gone home early after the service - as there were about 10 kids (including DS1) sat inside waiting for parents - I was only about 4 minutes 'late' and ALL the other parents had gone - and the cars had cleared form the street.
First of all he came out holding his Christingle and said "I couldn't see you mummy" (when they take the classes outside they have to tell a member of staff when they see their parent/whoever is picking them up) before being allowed to leave. And then, almost in tears, said "You didn't come to the Christingle - I looked for you and you weren't there" .
He was obviously really upset and I feel awful for forgetting - I've promised him I'll go to the Carol Service (which is in the morning!) even if I've worked the night before.
