better to buy gameboy or gameboy advance?

Which is the best one to buy now? same price in Argos i think but don't know whether to buy the newer one. anyone any advice for a mum who doesn't know much about kids' games? what shall i buy first?

Gameboy advance id say but after the pram thread you wont listen to me GBA is newer and if they are the same price so for it.

The games when they first come out are £30...after a while you can get them for £20, they sell them second hand in blockbusters and game etc....bit cheaper.
Buying them off ebay is also even cheaper. You can buy Asian ones that are under £10 including P and P but I really dont know whether they are fake/copys but I do have a few and they are fine.
Also if you ask on here if anyones selling any you may get a few replys

LOL..todl you you wouldnt listen. Gameboy is Old Gameboy Advance is Newer. there are also Nintendo DSs that are even newer and Playstation portables that are both this Xmass hot item.
The Gameboy Advances prices should hopefully go down with this competion.
You can play Gameboy games on a GBA as well. But not GBA on GB...

yes, i'm getting a bit confused now! In t'srus they showed me a GA but then they brought an even smaller one out which was apparently the newest-apart from PSP which is unobtainable anyway and really expensive!- I thought he called this new small one "Gameboy" same as the original. Have I managed to confuse you aswell???

That sounds more like it! It's oblong shape with a button on either side. Perhaps that's why I'm getting confused. Didn't realize it was GameboyMINI!!!Thanks for making things a bit clearer for me though!
