Birmingham Christmas markets - worth a day trip?

Would love to go to a German / Austrian Christmas market but realise that dragging a 4yr old and 18mnth old might dampen the experience. I have seen that Birmingham has one and thought I might go for the day. Would I be dissapointed? How authentic is it? Is it something you would just browse at whilst shopping or is it worth a trip on its own merits? Thinking of going tomorrow so opinions much appreciated?

Although it is lovely, not sure it would fill a day. I think it's something you would just browse at whilst shopping. HTH
