STUPID hospital car park

Ok.... our local hospital always has a full / over flowing car park etc so they have come up with an ingeniouse solution...

they have repainted all the spaces to be only 79inches wide, (Narrower than most larger cars eg volvo V 70)

Nearly 20inches LESS than NCP car parks...

now people who find a space find it VERY difficult to even get the door open wide enough to get out of the car!

SORRY must correct, only 74 inches, and OVER 20 inchess less than ncp par parks!

even a smart car will only have 7 inches either side!

I hate this type of mentality. At the nearest tube station to me there is a car park with the narrowest spaces in the universe - it is physically impossible to open the doors wide enough to get the baby in and out so I can't use it. Plus they charge £3 daily rate - gits!!!! but at a hospital car park it's even worse - what of someone needs help getting out of the car or has a leg in plaster or something?? some people are so stupid.

there was an episode of the simpsons where bart (i think) did something similar in the car park for the nuclear power plant

yup.... its nobodys fault apparently.... reading closer even a ford focus will only have 0.8 inches (about 2cm each side) and my dads car (a vectra) does not stand a chance of getting in....

Only a couple of inches either side of a mini!

a land rover discovery will overlap buy 12 inches (taking up a whole 1/6 of the next space as well!)

Thing is WHO would want to park there.... probabilty of car being bumped / scratched / scraped etc must be VERY high!

They are going to repaint the spaces tho!
