Chossing an electrical repair company from the Yellow Pages - how do you choose?

My dishwasher needs looking at - it isn't cleaning properly. I've just opened the yellow pages and there are about 7 pages full of people to choose from.

Where do I start????

Maybe I should just call Maureen

Have a look in the manufacturer's handbook or their website. They usually list approved local service companies who should hold stock of most parts and be properly trained etc.
