he's a TV Licence Officer (for those that didn't know) - basically he's the 'nice' guy that encourages (cajoules?? ) them into buying a licence from him (for the same price as everyone else I hasten to add LOL) for which he gets bonuses if he gets xxx amount each 4 week period.

He had a monthly review meeting today - and discovered that, despite what he's been feeling are quite disappointing sales, he's actually 12th in the entire Country - including Northern Ireland (out of just over 100 officers) for "Quality Sales" (those that pay either cash or direct debit) - nonquality ones are the Cash Easy Entry cards which people on very low incomes can get.

So, despite only getting 2 sales today (well he had a really cr*ppy area to do today - villages miles apart from each other) he's come back in a really happy mood.

Whether he stays in it once I've attempted to cut his hair with the clippers for the first time is another quesiton

Bless him.... glad things are looking up x

Oh good on him qofq!
He hasn't been doing it long either has he???

Don't bugger up his hair or he might not be so succesful.

HRHQoQ · 10/11/2005 21:57

No he only started in August - and when he takes a batch of 45-65 letters (all different addresses) with him and comes back with an average of about 5 sales (on one occasion after being out the WHOLE day - 10am-9pm, with over 70 addresses only got one), he thought he was doing quite badly.

I'll try not to mess his hair up - but it should be fairly straight forward - it's Afro hair - and he has it very short........I'll try not to shave it completely

Any developments on your job situation??

HRHQoQ · 10/11/2005 21:59

ooo yes - I'm going into work from 9-3 tomorrow - to do some training/work , as I'm new to care she's asked if I can go in during the day (as it's easier to learn when they're all awake LOL) just to get me into it
