Free school meals....what other "benefits" might I be entitled to?

OK, so s a result of recent seperation I am now entitled to free school meals.

I have also realised that this may have other associated "benefits". I know that I can get a discount card for the local leisure centres, but what else should I be looking into? Whilst I am not proud to be in a position where I claim free school meals I will take any opportunities available to make things easier.

And I am not thinking of benefits in a classical benefits sense, I don't think.

I seem to remember when I got free school meals as a child my parents also got school uniform vouchers.

I know that locally free school meals pupils got after school clubs and Brownies etc. paid for but that has stopped now. That is the kind of thing I was thinking of.

start right vouchers for pree schoolers, not sure what age this stops.

free dentist and prescriptions and optician vouchers possibly

My LEA don't appear to help with school uniform.

No pre-schoolers so that one is not appropriate.

I think I may be entitled to NHS excemption by virtue of tax credits but it looks as though that will be dealt with automatically once notified by HMRC so I will wait and see.

I know most dental treatments are free...eye tests too.
Some areas do reduced travel fares,but I think the laptop thing has gone.
