Just spend 6 hours at the hospital with DS

Took him to the GP at 12.15pm as he couldn't walk. He has Cerebral palsy and I keep getting fobbed off with 'oh its its CP' when he can't walk. Anyway, GP checks him and thinks he has a irritable hip and sends us to the Child assessment unit at the hospital (we don't have a children's ward anymore, so its like a mini version) We get there, DS is in lots of pain, can't move They decide to do blood tests and a ultrasound of his hip. They then decide that they are not going to do an ultrasound or xray because they think its his muscles and someting to do with his CP They do the blood test to rule out infections. They have given him painkillers
DS has this pain in his legs every few months and he can't walk at all when it happens, NO-ONE will listen to me!!! I want it investigated further. I have to take him back on monday for a check up.

How frustrating mieow. I'd be furious in your place too.

Have phoned GOS and asked his consultant to phone me, as I want this fully investigated now. The doctor at the hospital asked 'is this the first time this has happened??' I said 'no he has been like this about 6-8 times now'

I know he had a xray done in the begining of the year which showed that his hip is slightly shallow, so the ball doesn't fit totally, but GOS said they wouldn't do anything about it. I am just going to keep taking him back when he gets attacks of pain like this, maybe they will listen then.

PS as soon as they discovered that Dd1 also had CP, the 'are you coping ok??' question came out.. I am glad that DS was clean and had no stratches on him from DD1, as we might have been reported to SS again!!!! Parnoid?? MOI??

Spent another 3 hours there today, he had a x-ray done which showed no problems, but she said it could be his tenons in his hips. We have a clinic appointment next week, have been referred to the physio (already under them anyway) and they are going to request that GOS review him again.
