Oh it's SO clever riding around the streets on a bike in the dark with no lights, isn't it!!!

No words to express my anger, really. Twice this week I've had near misses with idiots on bikes who must think they glow in the dark.

I see it all the time round our way. Usually dressed in black from head to foot too. The lighting isn't very good and if it is dark and raining they are almost impossible to see even if you are looking out for them.

A lot of them are young teenagers and I wonder what their parents are doing buying them obviously expensive bikes, yet not paying the extra for some lights.

I once had a near-miss with a black-clad cyclist with no lights in thick fog. He caught up with me when I stopped at traffic lights and had a right go at me which was quite frightening.
