My kids - her kids topic ....

ALong the same lines as the thread of telling each other's kids what todo.

I am due to go to the cinema with my mate tomorrow.

her kids go more often than mine ( but she has less money ) - so therefore she does not treat them to the popcormn treats...
My kids go less often - so I therefore feel that the popcorn is a well-earned treat ...

What should I do ......my kids will expect the treat ( that I feel they deserve ) but I don't want to pset my mate ???

buy a big one for them all to share as a special treat

Get your kids the popcorn and tell them to share.

Get a big one to share, or say, 'OK, who wants popcorn, my treat - if that's OK with you?'

Can't you just say you'll get the popcorn and share it out amongst all the children? Would she feel obliged to do the same next time if you did that?

When I went with a friend last week, we bought a big one and pinched pick and mix plastic bags and shared it out.

Just explain thhat you thing your children have really derserved a treat this week and you'd like them to be able to share it with their firends as a one off, if that is okay.

make a load of popcorn at home (microwave packs are fab) then whack them in food bags and take them in with you instead of spending £400 on a large bucket and two cokes. (Never fails to astound me how much they charge for drinks and snacks, verges on the obscene.)

As she is your mate say that you want to get your kids popcorn is it ok to share, if its the cost thing then smuggle it in.
