Google tips..can anyone tell me how to get search

results sorted by date

ie I want the new stuff on a topic prioritised so that i can read the most up to date info not click and find it's from 1998 when i know there have ben changes made since then

I need to do this in my job. I just include a date in my search ie 2005.

Works for me sort of but I suppose it depends on the topic you are searching.

I really don't think you can do it then. That's the problem with the world wide web, there's all sorts of out of date stuff on it.

If you do find a way let me know!

If you use Google, try clicking on advanced search, then there is an option about only showing you sites that have been updated in the last 3 or 6 months - I'm not sure if it would pick up sites that have been launched within the last 3 months too.

Thanks it drives me bonkers, wading through stuff and I'm sure there must be a filter for this
