I think she's about to be 12. Or maybe 13.
Any ideas? She's quite serious and bookish but likes pretty things. Accessorise vouchers are my other standby.
Preferably something I can order over the internet.

New Look vouchers are a huge sucess with my neice. Or what about a magazine subscription to a teen mag (shan't mention my teen mag tvhits! as that maybe seen as advertising )

I used to love getting book tokens when I was young, and was gutted one year when I had turned 13, I suddenly got no book tokens, just a load of Boots tokens. this carried on until I was 22, then all of a sudden I started getting book tokens again.

I never knew what to do with the Boots tokens when I was a kid, the shop is a rip off anyway. Go with book tokens if you know that is what she likes.

What about a journal - with a little lock and key - I've seen lovely ones in the shops - sure to be some online.

Do you have a Cancer Research shop near you, bp? They have some cute girlie presents in for Christmas, eg pink- or lilac-painted wooden drawers/boxes with characters on. Very sweet.
