LOADS of viewers for my house........ timewasters?

My house went on Slater Hogg website on Monday and already I've got 3 viewers. 2 tonight and another one on Sunday.

Now what I want to know is..... is that normal to get a flurry of viewers at first then it perhaps all to come to nothing and slow down?

Or should I be looking for a house to move into PRONTO!!

I've never sold a house before and don't know if 3 in the 1st week is alot or normal or a bit disappointing!

TIA

Based on what estate agents have said to me lately, they expect the most interest to be right at first, which is why they bang on so much about 'positioning' the house appropriately for the local market - it's more likely to sell at the beginning.

So three viewers sounds good!

Usually you do get a few in the first couple of weeks. This sounds about right to me - good luck! Hope it goes quicker for you than it does for me (we are 14 months down the line and still no nearer an offer )

I'm SO excited and nervous!! I have cupboards that I'd rrrrreally rather they didn't nose about in!

Luckily the 2 tonight are guys on their own..... odds are they're not going to give a damn about looking in cupboards.

Normal I think, do you have another one you are after?

We will be doing this after Xmas, the thought of moving with children in tow .

FangAche · 27/10/2005 15:37

OO - Oh God I haven't even got as far as to think of the trouble moving with the kids!!

The house we wanted has just had an offer accepted.

But there's one across the road I'm viewing on Sunday.

I have moved twice before but never in a chain (once to go travelling, once when we came back) and NEVER with children in tow.

I am dreading being in a chain tbh.

I will be watching how you get on, hope all goes well, am off next week so hope you have sold when I get back to work.

We got a verbal offer from the 1st lot of viewers!!!!!!! He is really interested and says he'll get the offer subject to survey in writing today!

.... now I'm getting greedy though.... 2nd lot are interested too...... and I've another lot on Sunday.

Hmmmmm....

If you're in Scotland you can have the excitement of going to closed bids. Pants if you're the buyer, but great for the vendor. Good luck with it

Cool!

I once bought a house before it was ever put on the market. Quick sales are a real possibility!

Best of luck selling it fast.

i don't now about buying, but I've jsut moved with all four kids in tow. We got the yes on Friday, and moved the weekend. Everything is sorted apart from the clothes. We bought new wardrobes weds, and are waiting for them to deliver today. i don't drive neither, so dp had to drive the van back and forth while I went on the train with the kids. It is surprising how quickly it can be done when u put your mind to it. Good luc.
