I think this comes under one of those things we should know in case our children have a homework question on it one day

your breath is always the same temperature.

it's the wind chill factor!

because you're blowing it out faster it cools down quicker, especially if you are blowing across your hand or something (because your breath will be cooler than your hand anyway)
