Can we have a thread for....

...parping on, without doing it on the thread itself and offending the original poster? Everyone seems so touchy today and I keep needing to stop myself from posting Cod-esque responses. A silent parp is so unsatisfying.

Here's the latest one I wanted to write:

If you are on weight watchers you should not be drinking enormous coffees with cream in.

PARP

lol lockets

I think I need to grow up - every time I see parp, parp, toot toot I just giggle!

QueenVictoria · 19/10/2005 21:52

Whoopah (bitchslap upside the head for being nice).

Not bad. Maybe change your name though to nasty lockets to get more people to take you seriously.

frannykenstein · 20/10/2005 08:41

Or change it to bollockets?

at you franny
it was full-harvest-moon tastic on here last night btw

RottenRhubarbWitch · 20/10/2005 08:46

Starlover once called my dh a cunt, and it wasn't even a harvest moon!

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 20/10/2005 08:52

goodness... that's a bit, erm,, strong....

RottenRhubarbWitch · 20/10/2005 08:58

Yeah, I was well naffed off, he comes swanning on here for 5 mins and gets called a cunt! I've been on here for 5 years and hadn't even got a piss off, until last night, but then I had to ask for it!

Dh found it all very amusing how easily some of us women got wound up. I think he got a taste for Mumsnet that night, which is rather worrying!

frannykenstein · 20/10/2005 09:29

Mind you, Rhubarb, your dh was coming on a bit strong himself. He was pretty objectionable IIRC.

Carmenere · 20/10/2005 09:33

Rhubarb, although I would agree that Starlovers reaction was a bit strong at the time, he was being horrible. The reason folk are never rude to you is because you are always nice

buffytheharpsichordcarrier · 20/10/2005 09:35

glad I missed that one

RottenRhubarbWitch · 20/10/2005 13:14

Really? I didn't think he was too horrible, but then I know that he was just fooling around, having a go at me more than anything for spending too much time on Mumsnet. Just goes to show how you can post something in jest, but it can actually be very offensive to someone else!

He's nice really you know!

madmummyof2 · 20/10/2005 13:19

hey will this thread stop me getting in trouble then??

really came here to make new buddies and all i have done so far is argue!

hunkerpumpkin · 20/10/2005 13:20

No you haven't MMO2!

QueenVictoria · 20/10/2005 17:44

Theyve actually shortened the title for this forum. it used to be Mums(bickeramongstthemselves)net. But it was just to long to refer to all the time.
