Ideas for ds1 who HATES having his hair cut....

Anyone got any good ideas for me - ds1 (nearly 4) absolutely HATES having his hair cut. Last time dh and I took him to the hairdresser, they had got half way through when ds decided that he was leaving.....nothing we could do would keep him there. Anyway, I managed to tidy it up at home over a number of days snipping here and there. Trouble is, he really needs a hair cut and I'm at a loss. Do I buy some clippers and try and do it at home? I don't want to mess it up and don't really know where to start.

How do you manage haircuts in your house?

In Londinium, there is a kids shop that does hair cuts in front of a very large fish tank to hold their attention

I do our ds at home some clippers a dvd or favourite kids channel to keep there attention sit them on a small chair. They love baths so I say when they've had their hair cut they can play in the bath.
