IS IT POSSIBLE TO CHANGE NETWORKS AND STILL USE MY OWN MOBILE NUMBER?

I want to change from Orange to t-mobile, as I think it'll be far cheaper (most of my family are on T-mobile).

I'd like to keep my mobile number as it makes life much easier - does anyone know how I can do this? Thanks!

Yes. You need to contact Orange and they arrange a transfer or something. DH has taken his from O2 to Orange and back again. There may be a fee.

yes you have to get a special number code, (there is a specific term for it),that the network you are currently on should provide , you then need to pass that info on to your next chosen provider. Current network will ask you why you are leaving.

You will need to contact your current provider and ask for a PAC code. You then need to give this to your new provider. They should then be able to give you a date when you they will perform the switch. You may well find that if you ask for a pac code they will give you a better rate anyway.

It takes a week (or it just did from 3 to O2)

Orange customer service are, however, completely cr*p according to DH.
